We get together with our grandchildren several times a month for play dates, movie dates and game night. Last week we had the kids over for a fun game night and I’m super excited to feature that game today as part of our Annual Holiday Gift Guide.

The game is called “The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game” and its geared towards children ages 3 years and up. You’ll need 2-4 players to play it. It’s one of those games that is fun for the entire family to play!

The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game from Educational Insights

Game Includes:

Colorful Tree-Shaped Game Board
1 Squirrel Squeezer
20 Colored Acorns
1 Game Spinner
4 Logs
Instruction Guide

Synopsis: Your forest friends are hungry and need your help! Spin the spinner, grab the matching colored acorn with your Squirrel Squeezer, and stash it in your log. Be the first player to fill your log with delicious acorns and you win the game! The game sounds simple, but you could also spin a sad squirrel and lose a turn, or a sneaky squirrel and steal a nut from another player.

Awards: The Parent’s Choice Foundation awarded this game the Parent’s Choice Silver Honor.

The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Children's Book

Offered as a separate purchase is the complimenting “The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel” board book from Educational Insights. This book is based on the best-selling board game (featured above). This book is perfect for children up to 3 years of age.

Synopsis: The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel hid all his acorns, but he was too sneaky and now he doesn’t know where they are! Help him find the acorns so he can get ready for winter.

My grandson is 2 years old and at this age, we ONLY give him board books, otherwise he’ll rip up the pages as most toddlers do. This book is absolutely perfect to go along with the game. As you read through the story and flip through the pages you’ll find these “flaps” on the pages where the child will lift them…to find the hidden acorns.

The Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel Game from Educational Insights

We love this book as it teaches your child to think and problem solve, plus its great for teaching them hand-to-eye coordination. The story is fun & entertaining, but what makes this book a real winner are those lift-the-flap areas on the pages as you go along. It keeps the child’s interest and makes reading & learning fun!

Giveaway: One lucky winner is going to win the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game and the coordinating Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Book from Educational Insights! This item will NOT arrive in time for Christmas. Good Luck!!!
