Discovery Kids View-Master Classic – Safari Adventures

Discovery Kids View-Master Classic - Safari AdventuresWhen it comes to early childhood memories, one thing that I remember clearly is playing with a View-Master and owning oodles of different reels to go along with it. I’m sure many of you remember playing with a View-Master too! Now that I’m a mother to two beautiful children, I want to give them some of the classic toys that I grew up with – such as the View-Master Classic.

For our holiday gift guide this year we received a 3D Discovery Kids View-Master Classic to check out for all of you. This particular set is their Safari Adventures set that comes with the View-Master and 2 reels. It’s for children ages 3 and up.

Discovery Kids View-Master Classic - Safari Adventures

The two included Safari Adventures reels have 14 eye-popping 3D images. The reels are compatible with all View-Master viewers. Your child can read some amazing facts to go along with the images.

You’ll see images of: giraffes, zebras, gorillas, cheetas, elephants, gazelle and other type’s of animals you would see on an African Safari. They are all 3D images, so they look realistic and like the animal is just going to jump out of the View-Master. Definitely better quality of images now, as compared to when I was a small child.

As a parent, I prefer giving my children old-fashioned and classic toys, especially at a young age. These days too many of our kids are addicted to video games and TV. I like encouraging my children with educational and creative play time activities. The View-Master Classic will always be at the top of my gift-giving list!

The View Master has been around for so long and never fails to amaze kids and many adults. I have to find where mine is stored.

I have my daughter’s old ViewMaster in the closet. Its at least 25 years old. She loved it. I had one when I was a child too. Fun pictures.

  3. My granddaughter has one of these and now her little brother is enjoying it too. I like these kind of toys that are classic and easy for kids to use. I find my granddaughter really remembers the facts that she reads about on her view master.

  4. I had to look up just how long it’s been around. The View-Master system was introduced in 1939. That was even before I was born (but only by 9 years). I remember my grandparents had some neat disks.

  5. I had one of these as a child and I so loved it. That Amazon price is amazing and one item I will add to my shopping list thank you for sharing.
