Cooking With Booze Book by George Harvey Bone

My husband and I enjoy being in the kitchen together. We make a great team—he does the cooking and I usually do some prep and have the very critical role of choosing the wine we’re going to drink that evening. We have fun making meals together, unplugging from the rest of the world and sipping something enjoyable while we are at it.

Cooking With Booze Book by George Harvey Bone

I was recently sent a copy of a great cookbook, Cooking With Booze, written by George Harvey Bone, that contains recipes broken down by liquor, wine, fortified wines, beer, cider, vodka, whiskey, rum, brandy, tequila as well as many others. There are recipes for every level of cook. From the very simple, yet delicious Peaches in Whisky, to the more time-consuming Coq au Vin, there is something to suit many tastes and many skill levels.

With the holidays approaching quickly, I know that I’ll be entertaining quite a bit and it’s always nice to try out new recipes instead of pulling out my old standards from the recipe box. I’ve got my eye on a few things that are sure to be crowd pleasers, including:

• Walnut and Brandy Cake
• Champagne and Vegetable Soup
• Whisky Scallops
• Amaretto Spinach Salad

The book contains 101 recipes that represent recipes from all over the globe –it is sure to create smiles and full bellies from every kind of palate. The book is now available and would make a wonderful holiday gift. Cooking With Booze is available on Amazon.
