Broccoli, Egg and Cheese Turn-overs Recipe

It’s My Turn (-over) Now – HOUSE OF CARDS

Heluva Good! French Onion Dip
Box of puff pastry
Egg
Broccoli
Shredded cheddar cheese
(optional) Shredded chicken

Thaw puff pastry according to the manufacturer. Pre-heat oven @ 400 F. Blanch broccoli florets, and let them cool in ice bath. Tear them into tiny florets and dry any excess water. In a mixing bowl, add broccoli florets, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded chicken (if using), cracked black pepper, and add a generous dollop of Heluva Good dip of your choice to make a creamy paste. When puff pastry sheets are thawed but still cold, cut them in 4” squares. Make an egg wash with a bit of water, and brush it on the edges of the squares. Put 1 TBSP of filling in the middle, and fold in half to make a triangle. Press the ends with a finger, and crimp with a fork to seal.
Let them chill in the freezer for 10 minutes. Place them evenly on a cookie sheet, and apply egg wash generously. Poke steam holes on top and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until it’s golden and flaky.

I love both of these recipes and enjoy Heluva dips.

  2. I would love serving both of these dishes. The layered dip and chips always go over big in my house. I like that the puff pasty dish can be made with or without chicken. Looks good.
