Chocolate Chip Blonde Brownies Recipe

Chocolate Chip Blonde Brownies RecipeEvery month I bake at least one batch of homemade brownies. I make them for our church bake sales, my granddaughter’s scout meetings, batches that hubby takes into work to share with the staff, for Birthday parties and more. Brownies seem to be the #1 request and they’re really easy to make. When I make blondies, this is the recipe that I use.

Chocolate Chip Blonde Brownies Recipe

1/2 cup butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or) 1 cup baking chocolate bits

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Place butter into a glass measuring cup and melt in the microwave at 10 second intervals until melted. Pour melted butter into a large mixing bowl. Stir in the large eggs, light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt until ingredients are combined. I typically beat the batter at low speed for about 30 seconds. Hand-stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips or the chocolate baking bits until combined.

Lightly grease a 13″ by 9″ baking dish. Pour batter into the pan. Baking at 350 degrees F for 15-18 minutes or until the center is done. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan. Once cool, cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.
