Gourmet Loose Leaf Iced Tea from adagio teas

Gourmet Loose Leaf Iced Tea from adagio teasI admit, I’m an iced tea addict. Seriously, I drink iced tea every day, year-round and it’s my preferred beverage of choice. With that said, not all tea is created equally, so I’m particular when it comes to the type of teas that I’ll drink.

Let me introduce you to adagio teas and their wonderful line of loose leaf teas, teaware and gifts for tea lovers. What’s really cool about adagio teas is that you can earn frequent cup points and then redeem those points for $10 gift certificates on their website. Super cool.

For this review we received several complimentary products to try out for all of you. Here’s what we received:

– Mango Green Iced Tea (6 bags per package)
– White Peach Iced Tea (6 bags per package)
– Savannah Bee Co. Pure & Natural Honey
– Sample Pack – Citrus Green Cold-Brew Iced Tea
– Sample Pack – Chocolate Chai Black Tea

White Peach Iced Tea from adagio teas

Let’s start out with the delicious White Peach Iced Tea that comes with 6 bags per package. You an steep this tea hot or refrigerate overnight in cold water. I like to steep mine hot, so I tossed one of the bags into some boiling water and simmered on low for about 5 minutes. I then left it cool. Everyone makes their iced tea differently, but I poured mine into a pitcher, added some sugar and a little water. Refrigerated it for 3 hours, so it got nice and cold.

I love a good peach iced tea, but had never tried a “white peach iced tea” until now. Wow, delicious and flavorful. It had a nice “light” peach flavor, it wasn’t overly peach at all. Clean and refreshing taste with no after-taste or bitterness.

The Mango Green Iced Tea comes 6 bags per package. They recommend steeping one bag per one quart of water, so that’s how I prepared it. This is a China green tea with a floral flavor of ripe mango. Green teas are great for those of you who want a “milder” tea with the health benefits of consuming a high-quality green tea. I prepared it just like the first one and my entire family loved it.

Let’s talk about these tea bags which remind me of sheer mesh bags. In the past when I’ve tried products similar to this…I was disappointed with them due to tea leaves & stuff leaking out of them. I was EXTREMELY impressed with these iced teas because I experienced no leakage at all. Seriously, my steeping and tea-making was perfect, with no leaking of tea leaves at all. Clean as can be! On that alone…I give them 10 stars out of 10 stars on my rating scale.

I requested a jar of the Savannah Bee Co. Honey along with my review items because my mother is a honey-holic. She puts honey in her hot tea, iced tea, coffee and all sorts of other things! Since receiving this jar of honey, she’s consumed half of it. Yes, half! She loves this honey for it’s subtle, but yet sweet taste. It’s a 100% all-natural honey bee honey. Mom said if you love honey, try slathering this honey on a toasted bagel, she said it’s pure honey heaven! LOL

Regarding the two sample packs that we received, we haven’t tried them yet. We’re still working on consuming all of the full-size products that we received for the review. I’m sure they’re just as good as everything else that we’ve tried.

Head on over to adagio teas and check out their full product line. I think you’ll be impressed with their large variety of gourmet loos leaf teas.
