American-Made Comfortable Summer Sandals by Okabashi

Cross Strap Sandals by OkabashiToday I would like to introduce you to the footwear company called Okabashi who makes some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had on the bottom of my feet! Okabashi is a family-owned business that has focused on designing and manufacturing extremely comfortable shoes for more than 25 years. Not only are Okabashi shoes comfortable…but they’re made right here in the good old U.S.A.

I’m going to be honest with all of you. About 3 1/2 years ago I had my first total hip replacement and I’m getting ready to go for another one later this Fall. Since having my hip replaced, I’ve had issue finding comfortable shoes for me to wear. My gait is a little off and if I’m not wearing comfortable shoes, I get a slew of leg, hip and lower back pain. Hence, my hunt to find comfortable shoes!

I received the women’s Cross Strap Sandals for this review and I absolutely LOVE them! We were recently on vacation up in Niagara Falls New York and I wore these sandals for miles! They’re very comfortable and you’ll forget that you’re even wearing them! What’s really nice is that I didn’t have to worry about them getting a little wet when we did a boat tour of Niagara Falls.

These Cross Strap Sandals are available in black and brown. Every woman needs those 2 basic colors in the summer footwear wardrobe. The sandals are made out of a man-made, flexible material that offers you support and comfort. There is a small 1″ back heel that gently slopes down to a 1/2″ in the front, so you’re not walking completely flat on a hard surface.

On the insole you’ll find tiny nubbies that gently massage the bottom of your feet as you’re walking around wearing the sandals. I really like that they give me “just the right amount” of arch support, without feeling like I’m walking on a nutshell. Up by the toe area you’ll find a built-in toe gripper-bar, so that your toes will naturally grip onto it while you’re walking.

Normally I stay away from slide-style sandals because I always feel that I’m going to walk out of them. That’s NOT the case with these! I feel quite secure while wearing them and my feet are super comfortable. They look great with everything…from shorts to summer dresses! Plus, if you’re packing them for vacation, they take up very little space and are light-weight.

I absolutely LOVE my new summer sandals and they’ll be going with me everywhere as the weather continues to warm up. You can head on over to Okabashi to check out their entire selection of shoes for both men and women. I think you’re going to love what you see!

These sandals look good on you. I am glad that you don’t slide out of them. MY problem is that I have very wide feet.

These really do look so comfortable and the style looks great. I love sandals without a lot of heel and I bet they are comfortable to walk in.

  4. I have several pairs of Okabashi sandals and love the red ones especially. I’m just the opposite and like the slide in style, not the toe thong type since it kills my toes. I like the little heel that keeps my pants from dragging on the ground. I also like that I can sanitize them easily, usually with an alcohol based product.

  5. I so need to get a new pair of sandals for the summer. The sandals that I always wear are a little too high and I am always falling off the wedge heels and they are only like an inch and half high. I really like the look of these thanks for sharing I also like that they are American made that is important to me.
