Yogurt with Fruit and Nuts Recipe

Yogurt with Fruit and Nuts RecipeWe all know to avoid certain foods (looking at you, sugar) to keep our teeth clean and healthy. But did you know that there are certain foods that you should be eating to make your teeth stronger?

Caitlin Grimes, D.D.S., of StoneCreek Dental Care in Alabama, has compiled a quick and easy recipe that will help keep your teeth strong, vibrant and healthy for years to come (when combined with proper brushing and flossing, of course)!

This super easy recipe is a triple threat when it comes to dental health! All dairy products contain teeth-strengthening Vitamin D and calcium, but yogurt has an added benefit of probiotics, which are “good” bacteria that stop the buildup of harmful bacteria that cause plaque and cavities. Strawberries are packed with vitamin C, and walnuts are a nutrient powerhouse.

I eat yogurt most days, & I like to dress it up a little by adding something crunchy, so this recipe sounds great to me. I’ll give it a try.

This is the perfect breakfast recipe and I like how delicious and healthy it is! I am going to make it for breakfast tomorrow!

  6. I hear you on the sugar. It seems to be in everything these days. I’m a firm believer that sugar (in all it’s forms, including honey) causes some inflammation and if you can use just fruit as a sweetener substitute, you’re better off. My mom is even watching her high fruit intake since she’s on the high end of the normal blood sugar range. Now I feel like going out and buying a big bag of walnuts–my favorite!

Love fruit in yogurt but don’t like the kind you buy with fruit in it. I buy Greek yogurt and doctor it the way I like. I buy a big bag of frozen blueberries, and pour out what I want. I also buy walnuts and freeze them and add what I like.

I have bought a lot of different honey but have not found one yet that I really like
