DC Super Hero Girls Intergalactic Games – Original Movie DVD

DC Super Hero Girls Intergalactic Games - Original Movie DVDI grew up watching super hero’s on TV and on film. My parents exposed me to watching Wonder Women, Batman, Superman, Aquaman and others as a teenager and now as an adult, I’m still attracted to super hero films.

As a mother, I feel it’s important for me to pass down my love for this genre to my children and thankfully I can introduce them to various super heroes with animated movies like the one that I’m featuring on the blog today.

My Thoughts: I sat down last week with my 8 year old daughter and 21 month old son to watch the new DC Super Hero Girls Intergalactic Games movie. This was their first exposure to the classic super hero genre, so I’m glad that is was done via an original animated movie. They’re too young to watch the regular Superman and Batman films that are currently out there, so giving them an animated version to watch was pretty cool.

This original movie is sport’s themed and teach kids about honest and fair competition, along with having a story line about a sinister plot by an opposing team. I really like that the movie is focuses on a few different things, which makes it even more appealing. It’s really geared toward’s younger children and the story line is laid out in a way that they can follow and understand. Both of my children enjoyed it, especially my 8 year old daughter.

Overall, I think it’s a nice little animated movie and a great way to introduce your children some of the most beloved super hero characters in the world.

  1. Jo-Ann Brightman says

This sounds like a great DVD for anyone who likes super heroes, but especially for girls. I like how it emphasizes fair competition.

  2. What an important topic about playing fair, especially today where kids hear the message that winning is everything and to do whatever it takes to win. Girls could use some guidance, especially the fun, animated kind, and it encourages them to play sports too.

  3. I have not heard of this dvd but it sounds like one the kids will enjoy. I also love that the superheros are girls thanks for sharing this one.
