My husband’s family immigrated to the United States from Italy back in the 1950’s, so he’s used to eating authentic Italian foods. Matter of fact, if he had his way, he would probably eat Italian foods 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
For this foodie feature we received 2 packages of Mama Mancini’s Slow Cooked Italian Style Sauce and Beef Meatballs and 2 packages of Mama Mancini’s Slow Cooked Italian Style Sauce and Turkey Meatballs to try out for all of you.
These meatballs are made out of premium beef or turkey, with Italian plum tomatoes, Pecorino Romano cheese, onions, parsley, eggs and breadcrumbs. They’re all natural and the company has been making these delicious products since 1921.
Each 16 oz. package of meatballs comes to you fully cooked. You can store them in your refrigerator or freezer until you’re ready to use them. When it comes to mealtime, you simply heat them up and serve them. You can add your own pasta or serve them in hot meatball subs.
To heat them up, you can heat them up via the stove top (approximately 15-20 minutes cooking time) or heat them up using your microwave oven (approximately 3-4 minutes cooking time). If you’re using the microwave, you can heat them up in the included plastic tray, which makes it really nice for those of us who travel in travel trailers and use microwave ovens while on-the-road.
For the review, we heated up the beef meatballs in the microwave oven and the turkey meatballs via the stove top. No matter how we cooked them (prepared them) we had equally delicious results.
We decided to use our meatballs in sub sandwiches. Some of us toasted our bread and some of us left it plain. We loaded on the meatballs and then topped them off with some shredded cheese. From start to finish, dinner was on the table in under 30 minutes, which makes it great for a busy weeknight meal.
For our family dinner night, we had 4 adults and 2 children enjoying the meatball subs and everyone LOVED them! They were very flavorful and cooked up really nicely. The Italian style sauce was perfectly flavored and complimented the meatballs nicely. Just perfect if you ask me! We still have one package left and we’re going to make a batch of spaghetti & meatballs for dinner one night next week. YUM!

These meatballs look very good. Sometimes it is nice to have a product like this that one can use quickly to make a dinner.
Meatball sandwiches are one of our favorites for dinner. Not always easy to find really good tasting meatballs and sauce but these sure look like they would be good. Wish they were in stores closer to my home.
These look reallly good. I like how they are fully cooked and can be used within minutes. We use premade meatballs and they dont look ass good as these, I am going to have to try and find this brand and give it a try. Your sandwiches look delicious.
I often buy pre-made meatballs, so I would love to try these. They look a notch above other store bought meatballs.
I have to say that my husband and I love the Mama Mancini meatballs. We usually have to have a package or two in the house in the freezer. We have them alone on pasta or we put them on a cheese garlic bread with the sauce.
My husband is Italian and he states that these are just as his mother and grandmother made as he was growing up.
