3 Healthy Homemade Juice Recipes

Ten years ago I quit purchasing bottled juices at my local grocery store and invested in a good juicing machine. At the time I was a new juicer and over the years I’ve learned quite a bit about juicing and how it’s a great way to get your daily recommended amount of fresh fruits and veggies into your system.

One of the reasons I ventured into juicing was to help improve my overall health. Another reason is that I needed to cut down my sugar intake thanks to being borderline diabetic. Making your own juices at home is a really easy process and once you become a juicer, you’ll never go back to bottled again.

I love juice recipes . My favorite is the first recipe for Basil Pineapple Juice.

  2. I so love a good healthy juice recipe and this one sounds amazing. I want to get more into making homemade juices because I want to lose weight and I don’t trust the juice you buy in the stores anymore way too much junk in those.

  3. The apple kiwi spinach looks really good to me. I am always shocked by how much sugar is in bottled juices and try to be mindful of that when buying juice for my family. Good idea to make ones own and be able to use fresh ingredients.

I like these ‘green’ juices but do not own a juicer. I have been trying different juices though.I would like the one you made with spiinach. One juice I have found I really likke is with beets. It tastes a bit ‘earthy’ but is really good.

I don’t have a juicer. I’ve thought about it, but I’ve been afraid that the resulting juice just wouldn’t be like the juice you buy–that it might be too thick or pulpy. I don’t like any pulp in my juice. Does it come out at all pulpy?

  6. I cut way back on my sugar too so I usually juice more veggies than fruits in my juicer. I love the sweetness of the beets, carrots and ginger, and just a bit of apple for sweetness. This week cabbage and jicama were on sale and those have a certain sweetness to them as I think. When you get off sugar, everything tastes so much better!
