Kid’s Craft Project: Dreamworks Trolls Door Hanger

Kid's Craft Project: Dreamwork's Trolls Door HangerDid you see our post from a couple of days ago that featured How-To’s to make adorable Dreamwork’s Trolls Refrigerator Magnets? If not, you can check out that post for photos and instructions on how to make them.

Today, we’re sharing another kid’s craft project with all of you and this one is super-easy to make and inexpensive! A great project for school groups, scout groups, etc.

Kid’s Craft Project: Dreamworks Trolls Door Hanger

Foam Door Hanger
Trolls Theme’d Self-Adhesive Wall Decals
Felt or Foam Self-Adhesive Stickers (Butterflies, Flowers, etc)
Self-Adhesive Rhinestones, Faux Pearls and Jewels
Sharpie Marker in Black with a Fine Point Tip

We found Trolls theme’d self-adhesive wall decals on clearance at our local craft supply store for a few dollars. If you can’t find them, your child can use large-sized stickers or cut-outs that they color and make.

Kid's Craft Project: Dreamwork's Trolls Door Hanger

My 7 1/2 year old granddaughter chose a light purple foam door hanger for her background and then added the pink troll wall decal onto the front. She then got creative and used various stick-on (self-adhesive) foam & felt embellishments (butterflies) and self-adhesive faux jewels, rhinestones and pearls. To add her name onto the door hanger, she simply wrote her name onto the front of it using a Sharpie marker.

You can really let children get creative with these things! The foam door hangers are less than $1.00 each at your local craft store. Pick up a few of them and then dig out some of your leftover craft supplies and let the kids get busy decorating them in their own preferred style. A great rainy day craft project!
