BIC Xtra Fun Stripes No. 2 Pencils

BIC Xtra Fun Stripes No. 2 PencilsBack when I was a child, all pencils that you could use in school had to be those ugly yellow No. 2 pencils that we all are familiar with. You know the ones that I’m talking about, those ugly yellow ones with the red erasers on the top. Yes, those. Every kid in your classroom had that same ugly pencil!

Well, things have changed. Now kids who go to school can use all kinds of pretty-looking pencils, just as long as they’re No. 2’s. Plus, kids can get those super cute eraser pencil-toppers and add those on top for even more fun!

BIC Xtra Fun Stripes No. 2 Pencils

My daughter Princess G received two packs of the new BIC Xtra Fun Stripes Pencils to try out for all of you. As soon as she saw them, she had them open and was writing with them. She really loved how colorful they were and those stripes really made them look unique.

These pencils are certified non-toxic, so they are perfect for younger kids who are in school. They feature No. 2 lead with the pencils having two-toned striped barrels. Each one has a latex-free eraser on the top and the leads are break-resistant which means a lot less sharpening is needed.

Princess G has been using her new Bic Xtra Fun Stripes Pencils at school for the past few weeks and loves them. We keep 3-4 of the pencils here at home for her to use doing her homework, but the rest are nicely stored in her pencil case at school.  She really likes how they write and that when she makes a mistake, they erase smoothly without ripping up her paper and leaving those dreaded red eraser smudges like a traditional No. 2 pencil.

  1. Jo-Ann Brightman says

I can understand how much kids would like these pencils. They make each pencil special and attractive.

  2. I should really treat myself to some new cool pencils like these. I have so many pencils and pens I’ve accumulated from nursing conventions–all kinds with colorful tops and marketing things, and kept them since they were like little toys. I don’t actually use them though, so they need to go and make room for ones I would use like these beauties.

  3. These are so cool and perfect for school. I agree with you I always thought the old yellow pencils with the red erasers were ugly too. I have got to get a package of these thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend.
