Remembering Those You’ve Lost During the Holidays

Holiday Gift Guide 2016In early October we’ve lost my beautiful mother-in-law to cancer. She was diagnosed back in September with intestinal and liver cancer and lost her battle 5 weeks later. Her death has been extremely hard on my husband, as they were very close. They went to Mass together every week and spent a lot of time just talking with one another. Her death has left a hole in our hearts and we miss her. Even though she’s gone, she’s not forgotten.

When you need any type of special gift this holiday season you’ll want to check out one of my favorite online stores called Pavilion Gift. This online store has some of the cutest and most unique gifts that I’ve seen in a very long time. You’ll find adorable coffee mugs, jewelry, angel figurines, picture frames, home decor accent pieces, candles, holiday items and more! Definitely something for everyone on your shopping list.

Mother Memorial Angel Ornament

For our feature today, we were sent the beautiful Small Mother Memorial Angel Ornament and we just love her! Trust me, our photos don’t do this ornament any justice, she’s absolutely gorgeous in person!

Each angel stands 7 1/4″ tall and has been hand painted. Special attention has been paid to every little detail. While she’s designed to be a holiday ornament, you can certainly display her year-round. I’ll be placing our’s on our holiday tree and then once the holidays are over, she’ll be displayed in my curio cabinet.

Mother Memorial Angel Ornament by Pavilion Gift Company

She’s 3-dimensional and just beautiful on all four sides. She can stand on her own if you wish to display her like a figurine. She has beautiful light brown hair and her facial features are just gorgeous! On the front of her dress you’ll find the words “In Memory of My Mother.” She comes with her own hanging ribbon too.

If you’ve lost your mother, mother-in-law or grandmother (they have a grandmother version too), these angels are a great way to remember your loved one during the holiday season. They make a great affordable gift (at only $13.00 each) and a memorable gift that will be treasured forever. I know my husband was very touched when I gave him this angel when she arrived and I know she’ll be a treasured heirloom forever.

  36. (Remembering Those You’ve Lost During the Holidays) What a great way to honor our loved ones that have passed on. I bought some ornaments something like these for my own family members a couple of Christmas’s ago. They all thought it was a beautiful gift to hang on their trees. Both my Mother & Father passed back in 1995 just two an a half months apart from each other.
