Easy Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe

Easy Tuna Noodle Casserole RecipeFor the past 2 years we’ve been making a conscience effort to consume more fish and seafood into our daily diets. One of the reasons we’ve been doing this is because consuming fish is more healthier than other types of meats, especially if you’re consuming the right fish, like Safe Catch Elite Wild Tuna.

Before I give you information on Safe Catch Elite Wild Tuna, I want to share with you a recipe that we recently made when we were testing out their tuna. If you love tuna and looking for an easy-to-prepare dinner recipe, I think you’ll love this one.

Safe Catch Elite Wild Tuna

For this recipe feature, we received four complimentary pouches of the Safe Catch Elite Wild Tuna. Here’s some information about the product.

About Safe Catch Tuna: According to the USDA, the amount of red meat that Americans eat on a daily basis has been dropping over the last several decades while white meat consumption of poultry has risen. Health concerns about high levels of cholesterol and fat in red meat is cited as a reason that popularity has dropped off. Not all red proteins are bad for your health though. One of the leanest, with high protein and Omega 3’s, red meats is tuna. A 2-ounce serving of canned tuna from Safe Catch has 60 calories, a mere 0.5 grams of fat, no saturated or trans fat, 20 mg of cholesterol, 14 grams of protein, 300 mg of potassium, 50% of the daily value of niacin, 30% of vitamin B6, 20% of vitamin B12 and 40% of selenium. Safe Catch has also created a special cooking process for its tuna that seals in five times more Omega 3’s than other tuna brands. As an added bonus, Safe Catch tests every fish it uses for mercury so you never have to worry about eating tuna that isn’t pure.

One of the reasons that I love this brand is that it has the lowest level of Mercury out of any other tuna brand. That’s right, the LOWEST! Next, they used hand cut premium tuna steaks which are slow-cooked to perfection. In my honest opinion, this is WHY their tuna tastes delicious and has a really nice texture to it. You won’t find grind-up little fish bones & other crud in this tuna. Next, they only use sustainable tuna that is wild-caught. They’re very careful to not harm the environment and they are constantly working with organizations to make sure that the tuna population is kept in-check. This is a company that cares!

I liked my mom’s tuna casserole as a kid and can remember loving the peas so much I’d try to get extra in my serving. I’d add extra peas and onlions to this recipe since I love them.
