Celebrate Mardi Gras with these Cocktail Recipes

Mardi Gras is celebrated this year on Tuesday February 9th (Fat Tuesday) and is basically one big party celebration before the 40-day abstinence of Lent. Here in the U.S.A. Mardi Gras is typically celebrated in New Orleans but you can find big Mardi Gras celebrations in other countries all around the world.

In honor of Mardi Gras, our friends over at Sparkling ICE sent over some Mardi Gras – Inspired Cocktail Recipes for all of us to enjoy. Just remember, you have to be 21 years or older to consume alcohol. Please drink and celebrate responsibly!

Bourbon Street Black Raspberry Cocktail Recipe

Bourbon Street Black Raspberry Brut Cocktail Recipe

1 ½ oz. Silver Tequila
2 oz. brut Champagne
7 large black raspberries
2 oz. Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry
¼ oz. lemon juice

Muddle black raspberries, Sparkling Ice Black Raspberry and lemon juice in a glass. Pour ingredients into a glass filled with ice. Add tequila, stir, and strain into a large rocks glass filled with ice. Top with brut Champagne and garnish with a skewered black raspberries.

Lemonade Hurricane Cocktail Recipe

2 oz. Sparkling Ice Strawberry Lemonade
1 oz. light rum
1 oz. dark rum
½ oz. passion fruit juice
1 oz. orange juice
Strawberry and Lime for garnish

Stir all ingredients together with ice. Pour into a tall glass over ice.

  1. I like the sparkling ice beverages but never thought of using them in a cocktail. The Black Raspberry Brut cocktail looks especially good. I did not celebrate Mardi Gras and have never been to New Orleans but looks like quite the party.
