Discovery Kids Stars and Planets Space Projector

Discovery Kids Stars & Planet Space Projector

** 2015 Holiday Gift Guide **

Kids love space exploration and they love educational toys that light up. This next item that I’m featuring in the Holiday Gift Guide is perfect for any little girl or boy who loves space exploration.

The Discovery Kids 2-in-1 Stars & Planets Space Projector is for children ages 5 and up. It features a 360 degree motorized rotation and comes with 32 photo slides!

The pivoting projector shines stars and planets onto ceilings and walls. The motorized projector cycles through planetary images automatically which makes it a great nightlight or fun for children’s parties. It includes 4 interchangeable discs that feature 32 stunning images of planets and offers cord-free battery operation.

There is a light control button on the unit that is clearly marked & super easy for little hands to operate. Your kids can turn the unit off or set it for the “stars” or “space” settings. The unit is made out of heavy-duty but yet light-weight plastic, so it’s easily transportable.

One of the features I really love about this space projector is that you can use it in any size room. It has a built-in focal ring for improved clarity so you can use it in a small room or a larger sized room. I think it’s great for the bedroom, a child’s playroom or for the classroom at school.

The included photo slide reels are miniatures of the ones you typically see in the store. With that said, these miniature photo slides have a total of 32 realistic space & planetary images on them that your child can view. The projector itself will need 3 AA batteries which are not included.

Discovery Kids Stars & Planet Space Projector

Overall, I give this Discovery Kids 2-in-1 Stars & Planets Space Projector 10 stars out of 10 stars on my rating scale. I think it’s a fantastic educational item for kids! The 2 in 1 Space Projector can be found in the following locations: Bon Ton, Macy’s Stage, TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning.

  1. Grandma Pat says

I just bought two for the Grandchildren. Can you tell me if the discs for the planets are supposed to automatically turn, and if so, does it do it automatically when the disc is inserted or how? I see that the stars move around the ceiling, which looks really neat. Thanks, this is a great recommendation.

I think this is a wonderful educational gift which would bring hours of pleasure to both kids and their parents. I wonder if Discovery has more discs available that could be used in the machine.

  3. I love this gift too. Very cool, inexpensive gift for all ages. I had a projector (Viewmaster) when I was a kid too.
