The Beauty of a BABY BUMP – 22 Weeks!

baby bump 22 weeksWelcome to another “almost” Wordless Wednesday post! My post for this week is a personal one.

As you all know, my beautiful daughter Jenelle is pregnant with baby #2. She is having a little boy and is naming him Jaxon. She is due in early September of this year and our entire family is super excited to meet him once he arrives.

Back when I was pregnant with her…it wasn’t fashionable to be showing off your baby bump. Matter of fact, I wore baggy tops because I didn’t like showing off my bump until I couldn’t hide it any more. Wow…fast forward 30 years and things of changed!

These days these mom-to-be’s love showing off their baby bumps as much as possible which I think is really cool as long as the bump is clothed. I know some show bare skin but I am still one of those gals who likes to be modest. What do you think?

Anyway, I took this photo earlier this month when my daughter was 22 weeks along. Yup, she is finally over that halfway mark! I will update you all every few weeks on how the pregnancy is going!

It was not fashionable when I was pregnant to show off your baby bump, but I think it is a great idea – as long as it is modest.

  4. Congratulations to your daughter and your whole family. What a wonderful time.

  5. Congratulations to your daughter. She looks great!

  6. How exciting!! Time is flying by and soon he will be here!

  7. I agree with you. I think it is wonderful to show off the baby bump but not with skin showing. I guess I still like some modesty. Your daughter’s outfit looks so fashionable yet tasteful.

I like modest clothing, maternity or otherwise. But I was so happy and proud when I was pregnant, that although I showed no skin, I wore outfits designed to emphasize my baby bump. (After all, how much more feminine can you look & feel, than being pregnant?) It was the happiest time of my life. And congrats to you, I bet you can’t wait to meet and cuddle Jaxon!

  9. Maternity smocks were all the fashion when I was growing up. No baby bump then. Congrats to your daughter.
