Schmacon Waffles Napoleon Recipe

April 15, 2015 by Shelly

Schmacon Waffles RecipeKick up breakfast or brunch with a tasty twist on a classic waffle preparation that features the unexpected, bold flavor of Schmacon™, “Beef’s Answer to Bacon™”. Schmacon Waffles Napoleon is a delicious combination of salty and sweet flavors, including smoky and sweet Schmacon, waffles and whipped cream.

Schmacon is an innovative all-beef alternative to bacon and is all-natural and lower in sodium, calories and fat than most traditional pork bacons. Schmacon gets its meaty and crispy texture from whole-muscle beef seasoned with a proprietary spice blend and glaze inspired by its inventor’s deli roots. Schmacon will roll out into grocery stores coast to coast later this year.

Schmacon™ Waffles Napoleon Recipe

1 waffle cut in half
1 oz. whipped cream
1 ounce maple syrup
Powdered sugar
3 slices crisped Schmacon

Prepare waffles according to the instructions. Layer waffle, whipped cream, waffle and top with Schmacon. If desired, add fresh fruit or just enjoy with powdered sugar and syrup.

The word Schmacon makes me laugh!! Anyway, my husband would love this. He’s always asking for friend chicken and waffles, and I think he’d enjoy this too. Thanks for the recipe!

Schmacon…wonderful and funny. How creative! My husband would love it. Beef and bacon…yes. He’s an all beef hot dog guy so I can’t wait to tell him. Add in waffles and this is a breakfast for him.

Years ago, I gave up eating pork when I realized that pigs are smart enough to save people from burning buildings and I should show them more respect. But I still miss bacon! Turkey bacon just doesn’t do it, so I’m really interested to learn about Schmacon. I’ll be watching for it in the grocery stores, for sure.

I have never heard of Schmacon-it must be all new, and I wonder how much money this will cost, since bacon is so expensive. I like your recipe-I want to make it! thanks for sharing.

I’m not a waffle person but do love smoke flavored anything. I get the liquid smoke and flavor dishes with it. I’ve never heard of this but looks impressive for guests, maybe for a brunch.

Interesting, they actually named their product “Shmacon”. I am actually a turkey bacon person so that’s what I would use. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
