Snow Storm January 26th 2015

Snow Storm January 26th 2015If you live in the northeast you are already aware of the big snow storm and blizzard occurring today and tomorrow. Here in Pennsylvania we are expecting another 8-10″ on top of the crap we just got 3 days ago which was 4″ as shown in the photo above.

It started snowing again late last night…then changed over to freezing rain for about 2 hours and back over to snow. So far, we’ve got 4″ of old snow, 1 1/2″ of ice and about 4″ of new snow on top. (will get new photos later today).

I don’t know about all of you…but I am certainly sick of winter already! Just tired of it. I hate winter but I do enjoy living where I do as we are only 3 hours from the Jersey coastline and 1 1/2 hours from the Pocono Mountains and 2 1/2 hours from New York City. Thankfully, we only get winter weather like this for 4 months out of the year.

All of you who live in the northeast and getting slammed by this storm, please stay safe! If you can, check on the elderly people that you know and make sure they are safe too!

Do you enjoy winter? Personally, I hate it!

  1. I live in Long Island, North Shore, and we got about a foot of snow. I pass through Pennsylvania taking my son back and forth from college in upstate NY. Stay warm and inside blogging!

On Long Island we have over 2 feet of snow and my driveway looks like 3 or 4 feet with the drifts and from being plowed in. We were out shoveling for hours. I finally paid some nice guys who came to my door to finish so I could get the cars out tomorrow.

  3. I hate winter! I hate being cold. Oh and I really hate the short days. Hope you guys hang in there and hope you don’t get too much for snow.

As a kid, I loved Winter. But at 50, with arthritis & less than great mobility, I just hate the cold & snow! My joints just can’t take it.

  5. I enjoyed the Midwest winters as a kid and teen. I loved running in rain, sleet , snow, whatever. Give my heat in my later years! My bones and joints love the hot weather. I don’t even use air conditioning.

I can enjoy winter when I am not worried about losing power due to a snowstorm. It started snowing this morning, but the real problem is the high winds coming tonight and tomorrow with another possible 2 feet of snow!. We are considering going to our son’s home, and have to decide soon.
