Delicious al fresco All Natural Sausage

al fresco All Natural SausageHow many of you love to eat sausage? My husband and I are big sausage eaters and could eat it daily with no problem. With that said, sausage can be extremely fattening and very high in sodium. Something that hubby and I have always been aware of.

Recently we tried a new brand of sausage that we have never tried before and it is called al fresco. With 70% less fat and 35% less sodium than pork products, gluten-free and a great source of protein, al fresco chicken products are a nutritious addition to any dish.

On January 5th, 2015 the company will randomly select a winner from the entries to win a free breakfast for four ($200 value) AND a year’s supply of al fresco chicken sausage (16 packages). How cool is that? Totally cool.

The company sent hubby and I two boxes of their all-natural chicken sausage to try out for all of you. This was a completely new experience for us as we were strictly pork sausage eaters. We are your classic breakfast eaters…nothing elaborate and typically do eggs, pancakes, waffles, breakfast burritos or bagels. Like I said, typical breakfast fare.

On one particular day we fried up the Apple Maple Chicken Sausages and enjoyed it alongside some fried dippy eggs and toast. The box had 8 links so hubby and I just split them. The perfect size for a family of two. They are fully cooked and we just browned them up and heated them through on our stove top but you could certainly microwave them if you wanted. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were and trust me, you would of NEVER guessed they were made from chicken!

A few days later we made the Country Style Chicken Sausages along with some blueberry pancakes. We fried them up on the stove top as our pancakes were cooking on the griddle. Within 5 minutes we were sitting down and enjoying our breakfast. These country style chicken sausages are some of the best breakfast sausages I’ve had in a very long time. They are super flavorful, have a great texture & taste to them and furthermore they were not dried out or too greasy. Just perfect!

Now that Hubby and I’ve tried chicken sausage…we will definitely be buying more. Geesh, we should of never waited this long to try them because seriously, I really couldn’t tell the difference that they were not made from fattening pork!

  1. I would love to give those a try. I am not a fan of the taste of regular breakfast sausage.. it tastes almost bleached to me.

I like the Al Fresco line of products. I have really enjoyed the Apple Maple Chicken sausage , but my husband finds it to be too sweet. He loves many of their other sausages.

  3. We have tried these and they are very good. Thanks for sharing the promotional information.

  6. Sounds like a great savings of fat, 70%! I’d try the sausage but sadly don’t have Instagram so can’t win the prizes, but the free eggs offer sound good.
