Easy Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe
I love chocolate. I can eat it in pretty much any shape or form. When the holidays come around, fudge is an all time favorite for me. I am not one to make it very often because a minute on my lips is forever on my hips, but once in a while, I treat myself and give away as much as I can!
Fudge is often made with chocolate and I was always happy with that, until I tasted peanut butter fudge. OMG it is good. So I had to find an easy recipe to make when I needed a fix and this is the one and I can add in some chocolate too. Reese’s anyone?
Easy Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe
- 1 cup Peanut Butter, not homemade or all natural
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 4 cups Confectioners Sugar, sifted
- Optional: 1/2 to 3/4 cup add-ins – chocolate chips, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups or anything you like
- Line a 8-inch or 9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving excess to pull the fudge out of the pan
- Microwave directions –
- Melt the peanut butter and butter together in a large bowl. Stop and stir the mixture every 30 seconds to one minute, making sure it is completely melted and combined well.
- Stir in the vanilla
- Add the sifted confectioners sugar and stir until completely combined.
- The mixture will be thick and looks a lot like cookie dough. If using any add-ins, fold them in while the fudge is still warm,.
- Press the fudge into the baking pan, smoothing the top.
- Chill for at least 4 hours or until firm. Cut into pieces and enjoy.
- For Stovetop:
- Slowly melt the butter and peanut butter together. Do not boil
- Add in the vanilla, stir to combine
- Remove from heat and stir in sugar and any add-ins.
- Follow the rest of the directions for cooling
