Dove and Dollar General are Celebrating Real Beauty

Beauty. What does it mean to you? For all of us, it means something different. For some of us, we put emphasis on how our hair is styled, how tan our skin is and how wrinkle-free our skin looks. For others, it might be how thin they are or how much they love their curves.

For me personally, I think I am beautiful just the way I am. I don’t color my hair, tan my body or go to any type of extremes. I accept myself for who I am, how I look and I am pretty pleased with what I see staring back at me.

4 Generations at the Cribari Wedding

Today I would like to know what makes you beautiful and do you embrace your unique beauty? For example, I think my eyes are one of my best features and I love the shape & size of my little ears. Do I embrace my beauty? You bet! My photo above shows 4 generations of beautiful women! (Mom on the left, my daughter who just got married, myself on the right and in front of me is my beautiful little grand daughter).

When it comes to beauty…who in your life inspires you? For me, it would be my 66 year old mother who looks like she is in her early 50’s. She is the one who taught me how to be a “natural” beauty and how to take care of my body. She is beautiful and a great role model to me.

Dollar General and Dove believe that examples of unique beauty are all around us and deserve to be rewarded! That’s why they’ve teamed up to celebrate and inspire us to embrace our own beauty.

On October 13th, 2014  at 8 p.m. on Twitter there will be a super fun Twitter party. The hashtag for the part is #DGFeelBeautifulFor.  Jump in the conversation by using the hashtag to tell us what what qualities and features you feel the most beautiful for and automatically be entered for a chance to win one of five, $100 Dollar General gift cards! Doesn’t that sound like fun? Yes it does!

So, who is ready to party? I’m excited and I hope you will join me for the fun!

I wish I had a Dollar General near my home because there are so many great buys there.
I guess my mother inspired me with her idea of natural beauty. But it also helped that my whole family always told me how lovely, pretty, etc. I looked – even when I was a chubby little girl. I think my eyes, hair and waist are my best features.
