Get Your Grill on With Reynolds Wrap with Recipe

Summer is the time for outdoor fun with friends and family. Hosting a back yard barbeque or just throwing dinner on the grill doesn’t have to be hard when you have great tools to use like Reynolds Wrap. Using foil products makes grilling and cooking on your grill easy and most of my foods come out so moist and tender. I wouldn’t cook without it. Plus I love that I can do everything on the grill and not have to heat the house up! That is huge with the high summer temps.

This weekend, I decided to make a California favorite – Tri-Tip sandwiches with Au Jus recipe. It is an easy meal to make and much loved at festivals, fairs and in back yards all over. To make this, you simply need a tri-tip roast that is seasoned well. I use garlic, season salt, pepper, onion powder on mine. Then I sear both sides on the grill and cook it about half way through. At that point, I wrap the meat in a foil packet made from Heavy Duty Reynolds Wrap and place it off the direct heat to slow cook the rest of the way.

Meanwhile, I have sliced an onion and bell pepper and lightly grilled them over the fire to give a nice smoky flavor. I then add a bit of the seasonings I used on the meat, and grill them on a flat grill pan I place over the fire. I cook them slowly with a bit of oil and butter. After they are nice and soft, I place the veggies in a foil covered pan and allow them to hang out on the top rack while the meat is finishing. That adds more smoky, meaty flavor to them. I also prepare some Au Jus for the finishing touch for my sandwich.

To assemble your sandwich, unwrap your meat and slice it into about 1/4″ piece thickness, dip the slices into the Au Jus and place on your sandwich roll. Top with the onions and peppers, if desired. Serve with a small bowl of Au Jus on the side for dipping or add some mayo and enjoy!

mayo only – my fav

I love to cook my meats with Reynolds Wrap. They always comes out wonderful and moist. Fish and chicken does wonderful in foil packets too. If you haven’t tried cooking your meats and veggies in a foil packet either in the oven or on the grill, summer is the right time to give it a try! And when you’re done with your grill, just roll some foil sheets together and scrub the grill grates clean of any leftover grease and build-up. Clean up is Done!

Heavy duty Reynolds wrap is very good for grilling and baking. It doesn’t tear easily and I love the way you used the sheets to clean the grill.. This recipe looks and sounds delicious.

Yum! Love the flavor that comes out in meats and vegetables on the grill. Reynolds wrap is great for many things. We love making veggie packets to grill with it. This way everyone gets their own packet and can add the veggies they want. Then we throw them on to grill and have a great addition to our meal.

This recipe sounds good and I plan to use it when I have time to cook. I’ve gotten good at making meat substitutes and the veggies are no problem! Thank you for sharing!!

  5. That looks fabulous! I’ve cooked veggies on the grill in foil packets (which works great), but I’ve never tried using an open foil pan. Thanks for the how-to.

I have never made anything on the grill like this before. But I must say it looks absolutely delicious. I use Reynolds Wrap all the time. It’s one of those products that I have never found another brand to be as good, so even if it may cost more, I’m sticking with it!

  7. My best friend grilled me some salmon last week in foil. Juicy and tender and yummy.

  8. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Reynolds Wrap! I use it for bbq’s, baking and to cover cook, and in the freezer. It is the very very best I made the mistake of buying the cheap stuff once or twice and learned that Reynolds is the best.
