Classic and Unique Pie Flavors

Classic and Unique Pie FlavorsHow many of you like pie? For those who do, what are some of your favorite types of pie to enjoy?

I make pies several times a week for my family and friends. None of them can bake like I can, so I get requests all of the time. Some of my favorites include (but not limited to):

* Shoefly Pie
* Frozen Peanut Butter Pie
* Mississippi Mud Pie
* Grasshopper Mint Pie
* Apple Pie
* Cherry Pie
* Blueberry Apple Pie
* Cranberry Raspberry Pie
* Pumpkin Pie
* Sweet Potato Pie
* etc.

We LOVE our pies here!

Now that we discussed pies, I would like to know how you like to enjoy them? Do you like to eat them plain, with a sauce topping (like hot fudge), with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream or what?

    We usually like our pies just as they are without anything added, although we might put a little whipped cream on the fruit pies. I make all the pies and my family loves them.

  2. I like my pie like a slice of apple warmed up with some vanilla ice cream on top of it, so yummy that way-

    Pies. Pies. Pies. You feature so many good ones and there are so many flavors out there. From fruity to chocolate to nuts, something for everyone. I like coconut cream while my husband prefers banana cream or pecan. My daughter doesn’t eat pies as much but can’t pass up pumpkin with cool whip. She is getting ready to try a recipe she found for apple pie using a cinnamon roll crust.

  4. For years, before I moved out of state, I was the family’s designated pie baker for holidays and get-togethers. I made fruit pies like apple, pumpkin, and cranberry, but I made pecan and mince pies, too. Nowadays I make cakes more often than pies, but I do still love pie. My spouse would be very happy if I made him a pie–thanks for the reminder! 🙂

  5. I’ll take your Grasshopper Mint Pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I haven’t made a pie in years.
