Kid’s Refrigerator Art – Makes Me Happy!

Kid's Refrigerator Art

Good morning everyone! Yesterday we were on babysitting duty because my daughter was celebrating her 29th Birthday. OMG, I feel so old stating that I have a 29 year old daughter!

Since we were on babysitting duty it was our job to entertain the princess. We played games, watched a Disney movie, went outside for bike riding & used sidewalk chalk and all kinds of other things.

After the Princess got into her creative mood, she made me some new refrigerator art which I just love! For some reason, every time she creates something new for me, it just makes me happy!!!

Every day the front of my refrigerator is cluttered with magnets and her art work! Every time she comes over, she rearranges all of my photos, magnets and of course…her art! hahaha!

Does the front of your refrigerator look like this? Do you enjoy seeing refrigerator art made by kids? I just love it! Plus, I save most of her artwork in a keepsake box that I keep in my storage room. When she is older, I will give it to her.

  1. The Post It company has some things that will attach to your fridge if it’s not magnetic.
No kids but I keep fun pictures on my fridge.

My refrigerator door does indeed look like that! I have kid art that my daughter (age 27) did as a child still attached!

  3. I’ve always thought the phrase “stick it to the refrigerator with a magnet” was about the highest praise you could give a drawing or picture! I love The Princess’s picture of a long-haired flying insect princess (or whatever it is!)–so imaginative.

I so wish our fridge front looked like your’s! For so long it did – pix of all of our family members, art, ancient school photos, magnets from our many trips (especially loved the screaming “horror” mirror we got at Disney!) – such a joy to look at and great for the grandkids to see family members they did not even know yet. And then we moved to a new house and bought all new appliances, including stainless appliances. Guess what? Magnets don’t work on stainless! Aaaarrggghhhh! Now we just have a few pieces of art and pix stuck to the little 3 inches of exposed side – not nearly enough space. I miss the collage.

Congrats to the winners! My son is grown and gone but I do have a 4 year old niece that I adore! You are right about the fridge art. She would plaster the entire house with her artwork if she could. And she knows if a piece of artwork is missing from visit to visit too. I try to thin them out sometimes and she always know!

Congrats winners and what a bright subject for our Friday! Refrigerator art does just make you want to smile. When my grandkids are doing artwork or creating something and they say I made this for you Grandma, it warms your heart and lifts your mood. It doesn’t matter how many pictures fill the fridge, there’s always room and another one is always loved. I’m glad you had fun with the princess and now how more pieces of beautiful artwork to make your fridge and life brighter.

    Congratulations to the two winners.
When my kids were young I always kept their art on the refrigerator too. My younger son like to rearrange it every week to make a different pattern.

  8. I love refrigerator art too, we even make a joke with my Dh that soon we will need at least two more, kids are in artistic mood now

  9. I love refrigerator art but don’t have any at the moment. On my frig I keep a pic of my mom, sis and me, when we were kids. I love looking at it daily. I’d laminate frig art you want to keep if you don’t want to get it dirty or messy with food!!
