Fail-proof TriTip Steak Recipe

By now, you should know how I am all about easy to prepare meals. I love steak and sometimes I would rather just throw it in the oven than stand over a hot grill or stove. So I came up with a way to prepare a fabulous Tri Tip steak in the oven that is fail-proof!

Tri Tip is a cut that is famous here in the west and it is a big hunk of meat that is slow roasted over a grill, normally, and then sliced for sandwiches or to enjoy as you would a regular steak. I love my meats seasoned with simple ingredients and yet full of flavor and this recipe is sure to please. My family loves it when I make this – usually when they are on sale. If you have access to a Tri Tip style cut of meat, give this one a try.

Steak is a luxury! Especially when its fail-proof, great recipe for beginners! Love how easy this is. Looks delish!

  2. Tri Tip is a west coast cut. I have looked while visiting other states, like OK and MN and they do not cut it. I will ask hubby where the meat is cut from on the cow to help further identify a similar cut for your east coasters. It is so delicious either grilled or roasted. Often people take the juices and make an au jus to dip the meat into and serve it on hoagie rolls here. Big at fairs, fundraisers and my back yard ! HAHA

  3. I have never heard of that cut of meat. Now I am intriqued and need to look for it

LOL, you had me at “steak”! I’ve never tried tri-tip before (never even heard of it), but steak is steak and we are old friends. I have to check around and see if it available here on the East Coast. (And 5 minute prep time sure sounds good, too!!!) The whole thing sounds good! Pinned & planned! Yummy!

This really is an easy recipe. I have never tried Tritip steak – It might be called something else in the east. I shall ask the butcher.
