In our home we love pork cutlets. They are similar to a pork chop, but they are thinner, bigger and do not dry out like a chop tends to. I love to pan fry them up for a quick meal as they only take a few minutes on each side. Alternatively, you could bake them if you choose. Me, I am all about fast and easy, especially when we are hungry and I want to get dinner on the table quickly.
I usually use a simple rub on my pork cutlets and occasionally I will spice it up with a bit of chili pepper, just to add some flavor. This recipe is my basic rub with the addition of the chili powder. You can certainly leave it off or adjust it as your family likes.
Spicy Pork Rub Recipe
- 4 boneless pork cutlets
- 1/2 teaspoon ground chili pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon season salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- In a small bowl combine together all of the spices.
- Drop the pork into a zip bag along with the spices and distribute it evenly. Or manually rub it into both sides of each pork chop.
- Pan fry them quickly, browning each side of the meat until just 165 degrees or they are just barely pink inside.

Your Pork cutlets look delicious. I always like to rub seasonings in my meat . Especially on pork or beef roast.. I am completely at loss of words for the short cooking time of your pork cutlets! Lol! I am 67 yrs old and have always been told you have to cook pork for a long time or you could get tape worms. That’s back from the olden days. lol! Apparently its not true! I quess you taught me something. They say your never too old to learn. :0) Thankyou for posting your recipe. Have a nice day!
my husband would love this recipe, it sounds really good
This sounds really good! We have never tried pork cutlets before we will have to give them a try!! Thanks for the recipe!!
Easy recipe, love it. Will have to add this to my to do list 🙂
These sound tasty. I agree with you I like find quick and easy meals to make for me and my family.
This is such a nice and easy recipe. I have pan fried chicken and veal cutlets, but for some reason I never did it with pork. Do you pound them yourself or buy them as thin cutlets?
That’s a nice, quick way to perk up your chops (or cutlets)
That sounds delicious. We always just fry ours, but this would be a nice change
