Valentine’s Day is only a few days away and JOLLY TIME Pop Corn can help you make it special. Along with all of the other goodies you plan on making and giving this year, how about adding the Choco-Cherry Heart Bouquets to your list? They are really easy to make and kids just love them!
The great folks over at JOLLY TIME Pop Corn sent us a Valentine’s Day kit to make these yummy pop corn pops and show them all to you! We made a dozen of them and the Princess took them into school to share with her class. While we didn’t make “perfectly” sized hearts…we did do the best we could & she had a blast helping us make them.
We love JOLLY TIME Pop Corn and have reviewed their pop corn here on our blog several times over the past year. If you have never tried this brand, you really should! Did you know that JOLLY TIME is the only brand of pop corn that is endorsed by Weight Watchers? Well, now you do! If you are looking to save some money, go on over to their web site and print out some money-saving coupons to use towards your next purchase of JOLLY TIME Pop Corn.
Here is their recipe and instructions to make these adorable Choco-Cherry Heart Bouquets!
- 12 cups popped JOLLY TIME butter light microwave pop corn
- 1 1/2 cups dried tart cherries
- 1-pound bag mini marshmallows
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- red food coloring (we omitted it)
- lollipop sticks
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Mix popcorn & cherries in large bowl. Place marshmallows, white chocolate chips & butter in large saucepan. Cook over low heat until melted & smooth. Stir in few drops of red food coloring to tint mixture pink.
- Pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn; toss gently until well coated. With wet or buttered hands, press mixture into a 4″ heart-shaped cookie cutter. Place them onto a lined baking sheet, press in popcorn, then lift the cutter off. Insert lollipop stick in base of each heart.
- Allow popcorn hearts to cool completely. Melt the chocolate chips and then drizzle the melted chocolate over the hearts. Allow to harden.
- Wrap hearts in cellophane and tie with a ribbon.
We spent the afternoon making these Choco-Cherry Heart Bouquets with the Princess and she loved helping us make them! At almost 5 years of age, she did really well at assisting us. She then took them all into her Pre-K class at school where they enjoyed them. Cute and really easy to make!

I love Jolly Time popcorn and can eat it every night. This is a really unique and different recipe to use popcorn. I thought your recipe for the heart bouquets turned out great. I would love to make these!
Thanks for your comments ladies. I don’t use food coloring in anything that I make as I am picky. I totally omitted it and they still came out great
What a great idea for popcorn. Since I love chocolate and tart cherries I couldn’t think of another way to improve popcorn as much as is done in this recipe. You don’t need food coloring. It will taste delicious.
Cute and fun! I bet the kids loved them and what a good time you and the princess had I bet. You don’t need red when you have chocolate and popcorn. I love that there are coupons available, too. Every little bit helps.
Love the tart cherries in this recipes. I would omit the food coloring too. Pretty but not necessary.
