Over the next several weeks I will be reviewing several of their food items here on our Two Classy Chics blog and also on our sister Shakin ‘N Bakin Foodie Blog. I think you will love all of the food selections and I will be sharing some really easy recipes to go along with them.

For this particular review I am going to focus on the delicious Pecan Crusted Tilapia which comes flash frozen, already seasoned and is ready for you to prepare & enjoy! You do NOT need to add any seasoning to them, they are ready to go right out of the box.

The box has a label to tell you how to prepare & cook your Pecan Crusted Tilapia so I went by their instructions. (From Frozen): Bake at 425 degrees F. for 21 to 23 minutes.

Each Tilapia Fillet is 5 oz. and you can order a package of four fillets or twelve fillets. These are skinless, boneless tilapia fillets crusted with a rich blend of pecans and crumbled cheese.

Before and During the Baking Process

We followed the instructions on the box and baked them. The photo on the left shows them before baking and the photo on the right shows them during the baking process, almost done. While they were baking, we prepared our side dishes. A quick & easy meal for busy weeknights!

Once they were done we sat down to enjoy our gourmet dinner together. We were really surprised that they didn’t smell and taste overly-fishy, if you know what I mean. They were very moist, held their shape together nicely, had a wonderful crunchy crust that was flavorful. There were absolutely no fish bones at all! None!

We quickly devoured our meal and with bellies full…we both remarked that this was the BEST Tilapia that we ever had! The stuff you buy in your local grocery store doesn’t even come close to how delicious this fish is! We enjoyed all four of the Tilapia fillets and each one was as good as the first one.

Who knew that mail-order gourmet foods could be so delicious? Oh my gosh, we are hooked! We are really impressed with this company and over the next couple of weeks we will feature some additional foodie reviews with all of you.

In addition, within the next couple of weeks look for a special giveaway coming up here on our blog sponsored by Sunrise Specialty Foods! It is one that you will NOT want to miss!

  1. I really like Tilapia because it’s such a mild tasting fish. I usually just bake it with some olive oil and lemon pepper. This would be a nice alternative to try.

  2. Jo-Ann Brightman says

We eat tilapia several times a month, but I haven’t yet tried a pecan crusted recipe for it. This company sounds marvelous and I am looking forward to more reviews and the giveaway.

  3. I like tilapia and eat it several times a month, usually Gortons. This sounds very flavorful and I WILL be on the lookout for their giveaway.

  4. That looks really tasty. Thanks for sharing the source of good food.
