My Curls Natural Hair Care Products

My Curls is a line of handmade natural hair care products that are paraben, silicone, and cruelty-free. It’s suitable for all curly hair and gentle enough for even the most sensitive scalps.

I have a confession to make. Aside from occasional color, I haven’t chemically altered my hair in almost 20 years. Cutting out chemical processing is a big deal when it comes to African-American hair. For my generation, relaxed or chemically curled hair was the norm and at different points I had both. Until my hair rebelled, that is. Chemical relaxers did not last as long as expected and my hair fell out due to stress in some spots. I went back and forth about what to do about it, and then decided to just cut it all off. A few years later, I started my locks and they’re still here.

Dumping chemicals is liberating and frustrating at once. Hair does what it wants when it wants and finding the right products is a gamble. What works for hair may not work best for the scalp. And the line between perfectly conditioned hair and limp, greasy hair is fine. And don’t get me started on frizzy hair. If only My Curls had been around when I went natural!

My Curls is a line of handmade natural hair care products that are paraben, silicone, and cruelty-free. It’s suitable for all curly hair and gentle enough for even the most sensitive scalps. Curlier hair needs more moisture to make it pop. With My Curls, your hair gets exactly what it needs with no greasy build up or residue. I received three items from the product line and really like them.
My Curls is based in London, England and all prices are listed in British Pounds (GBP).

I started with the Cleansing Cream (£6.99 for 100 ml; £12.99 for 250 ml). While called a cream, this cleanser looks like a typical shampoo found anywhere. It is anything but typical. My hair was cleaned well and my scalp soothed thanks to the aloe, sunflower oil, and tea tree and lemon essential oil duo. Hubby liked the light fragrance and I really like how my hair felt. Each 250 ml bottle has at least 20 washes depending on hair texture and length.

An accidental discovery followed use of the Honeydew and Lemon Sealing Oil. Not only did it seal in moisture and give my hair a nice shine, the oil was nice on my skin, too. I used a little too much so I rubbed it into my hands and elbows. It soaked in nicely and left my skin soft.

My Curl’s Coco Curly Conditioner (£8.99 small; £12.99 large) is a Chirpy Cherry scented deep conditioner made from coconut oil, and Jojoba oil, and lavender essential oil. While it was a little too heavy for my locs, it was perfect for my son and daughter. Coco Curly Conditioner is also an option for those who co-wash. Each My Curls product has a 12 month shelf-life and is handmade with quality ingredients.

Everyone in my home gave the products a try and is pleased with the outcome with one exception. Hubby has wavy but very fine hair and the products were too powerful for him.

If you have curly hair and are looking for a natural alternative in hair care, consider My Curls. International shoppers are welcome, and they accept Master Card, Visa, and PayPal in the online shop.

Well “I” have baby fine straight hair and I get my curls from using a curling iron on my hair every day to make long locks all over. I always wished I had thick hair with soft natural curls like our 3 daughters do, they have shampoo commercial hair!

  2. I so want to try these – anything Cherry scented and naturally so is great in my books. Question: what is “co-wash”?

  4. This sounds like a great product! I prefer to use natural bath and body products whenever possible, though it’s hard to find ones that work well.

Sounds like really awesome products to help curly hair and make it shiny and soft! I like that it has a conditioner made with essential oils. These would be great products to get.

This products sounds like it is excellent for anyone with wavy and/or curly hair that needs to be managed and that the oil is good for the skin too is a bonus.
