Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe

As a busy professional, wife, and mother, I know how hard it can be to get a good meal on the table. Our friends at Venetian Decor were kind enough to share this tasty recipe for us hard working women. You can make this mouth-watering dish with minimal preparation and still provide your families with a delicious and hardy pot roast that provides a delightful aroma when you walk in the door after a long day’s work. Can’t you just smell it right now? YUMMY!

Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe
POT ROAST (slow cooker) Recipe:

· 4 pounds chuck roast
· 1 packet dry onion soup mix
· 1 cup water
· 3 carrots, chopped
· 1 onion, chopped
· 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
· 1 stalk celery, chopped
· salt and pepper to taste

1. Season the roast with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Brown on all sides in a large skillet over high heat, approximately 4 minutes per side.
3. Place the roast in a slow cooker and add the soup mix, water, carrots, onion, potatoes and celery.
4. Cover and cook on the low setting for 8-10 hours.

  2. I need a slow cooker! This recipe and photo and post are drool worthy! I CAN smell the aroma! And it brings back memories! Adding carrots & potatoes makes it soooo scrumptious! gotta that cooker… hopefully soon for fall comfort food, and this is a recipe I definitely want to try.

  4. This looks wonderful I have never made it with mushrooms but am going to try it now. One thing I love about Fall is firing up the slow cooker. I love that homey smell that fills the house and the wonderful things you can make in it. Thanks for the great recipe and God Bless.

  5. You know, this is not my picture, but I think that you can add mushrooms the last 2-3 hours and they will be fine
