Wallbanger by Alice Clayton Book Review

I think by now everyone knows I love chick lit – otherwise loosely known as women’s fiction. Chick Lit is fun and flirty and with some books, it is full of hot, steamy scenes, romance and amazing men. Yes, I am a sucker for a good romance. So when I get a book that shows up at my door that promises loads of light and easy reading, I am on it! That is just what I got when I received this new book I want to share with you.

Caroline Reynolds has a fabulous new apartment, an amazing job, a crazy cat, her favorite KitchenAid and no man worth her time. The last one scared the O right out of her and it has not returned for oh, so many months. But with her dream job and now dreamy apartment in San Francisco, she has everything she could want – except Sleep! Her neighbor is very busy with the ladies and every night the wall banging commences to keep her sleep deprived and cranky! Until the night Caroline could not take it any more and goes to thumping on his door in the middle of the night with nothing on but her pink nightie. And yes, he is HOT!

The tension between the Wallbanger and Nightie Girl is what keeps this fun book going page after page. The author is very talented in her writing style and while at first I thought this book was going to be all about s e x, I was pleasantly surprised that it was a fabulous, easy to read book that was loaded with humor and fun, sexy romance.

Caroline and Simon really have their work cut out for them with plenty of sarcasm and interesting looks at first. But soon the table starts turning and they find themselves actually getting along – minus the banging headboards. When Caroline shares her zucchini bread, all bets are off.

The author’s wit and enjoyable writing style made this a 5 star, 2 thumbs up winner for me. I devoured this book in no time and was left wanting more. The characters are fully developed and there are plenty of laughs and budding romance gushiness to keep you turning pages faster and faster until you reach the little twist in the end, with a smile on your face.

If you love chick lit, you’ve got to grab this one from Alice Clayton. You will be a convert and start wishing you could find a cool apartment in San Francisco with a hunky wallbanger next door. We should all be so lucky!

Thanks for the glowing review! Though I don’t read much Chick Lit, my mother in law loves it. She may have already read this book, but I am going to tell her about it for sure!

This sounds like a delightful romance to read, especially since I prefer romances that have humor and make me laugh.
