Color-Changing Nail Polishes from SolarActive International

Color-Changing Nail Polishes
** Complimentary Samples Received for Review **
As a woman, I must have my toes painted at all times…that’s right…at all times! I find bare-naked toes to be absolutely disgusting and it’s a bad fetish of mine for sure! When it comes to my fingernails…well, I keep them mostly polished but they don’t gross me out like naked toes do!

I am one of those gals who changes up her toe coloring every week…yes, every week! While I like the traditional colors from time to time, I am more of the wild and funky colors type of gal. I also love nail polishes that do more than just color my toe nails and today, I get to introduce you to the company called SolarActive International developers of the  technology for Ruby Wing color changing nail polish as well as many other products that change color in the sun.

In addition to the color-changing nail polishes, they also sell solar-active shoe laces, hair scrunchies, footwear, t-shirts, friendship bracelets, jewelry, craft supplies and so much more! What a fun online store with unique gifts…yay!

The company sent me 3 complimentary bottles of Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish to review for all of you. The polishes are DBP-free, toluene-free, camphor-free and formaldehyde-free. Their polishes are never tested on animals and the polish is proudly made in the U.S.A.

For review, I received the 3 following colors/shades:

* Groupie (changes from hot pink to coral pink when in the sun)
* Eternal (changes from hot green to dark teal when in the sun)
* Birdie (changes from yellow to orange/peach when in the sun)

Color-Changing Nail PolishesFirst of all, I want to state that these nail polishes don’t stink or have a foul strong odor at all when applying them. Matter of fact, I didn’t smell anything when I applied them to my toes. Next…they are a nice consistency, not too runny nor too thick. They are really easy to work with and very easy to remove when you want to change them. I didn’t have to use a slew of nail polish remover when I changed my colors. The photo to the left shows my toes still wet…trust me, it dries super nicely!

For the review, I painted my toes with the Eternal color which is a hot green color. I got nice coverage but did apply a second coat and I do recommend applying two coats. Once my toes were dry, I headed outside into the sunlight to see my nail polish change to a new color. What a surprise to see that dark teal color come out when I was outside and I really LOVED that color!Color-Changing Nail Polishes

A few days later I decided to try the Groupie color (hot pink) and did the same process as I did before. Once my two coats were dry (takes about 5 to 7 minutes so they do dry fairly quickly)….I went outside and saw it change to a beautiful coral color. Made me feel like I was standing on a tropical beach! Yay! The photo on the right shows my toes nice & dry and while standing outside in the sunlight!

Regarding wear…I don’t wear the same color long enough to tell you about that…but I can tell you that my toes looked gorgeous for several days with no chipping or peeling of the polish. I didn’t have any issues with it coming off in the shower, pool or Jacuzzi either. Overall, I LOVE THESE POLISHES and would love to have a few more for Spring and Summer.
