Spring has arrived and Summer is just around the corner. For many of us, we will be hitting the road for Spring Break or Summer vacation for a well deserved break from Winter. If you are like me, you need a good commuter travel mug to hold all of your hot beverages…for me, it’s my daily dose of coffee!
When it comes to coffee tumblers, I look for the brand Thermos as I know it’s a name that I can trust! I have owned Thermos brand products for years and let me tell you, they are always made of the best quality materials.
While looking online for a new commuter travel cup, I stumbled across Outdoors “R” Us who sells a wide variety of Thermos brand products. When you shop their online store, you will find coffee containers, coffee mugs, coffee tumblers, kid’s sippy cups, kid’s straw bottles, plastic water bottles, drinking bottles, Thermos stainless steel food jars and more!
The great folks at Outdoors “R” Us sent me their Thermos Insulated 16 oz. Coffee Travel Tumbler to review for all of you. When it comes to tumblers, the 16 oz. is my preferred size. The travel tumbler is available in 3 beautiful colors: stainless steel (silver), Purple and Magenta.

My Thoughts: I love the Thermos brand of products and it is indeed my preferred brand for commuter mugs. One of the things I like about this one is that it’s slim in it’s design and it fits really nicely in my cup holder in the car. Lately, I have been finding commuter mugs that are way too big (in diameter) to fit within my cup holder and this one is perfect for that!
This insulated tumbler will keep hot beverages warm/hot for up to 4 hours and your cold beverages cold for up to 9 hours. On the outside of the tumbler is a contoured rubber band that ensures that you get a non-slip grip when you pick up your tumbler. It fits really comfortably in your hand and is semi-weighty which speaks to it’s fine workmanship.
The top has a cap that you can unscrew to pour in your beverage of choice. You then screw it back on (easy-to-do) and then there is a button on the cap that you slide back and forth to get your beverage out. I love that when it’s in the closed position, nothing leaks out should I drop the tumbler while in the car. (trust me, I dropped it and nothing spilled out!).
A few days ago my hubby borrowed my new tumbler and I had to fight him to get it back. You see, he loves to drink hot coffee while commuting to work and apparently he has fallen in love with my new tumbler. Guess I will need to get one for him next!
Overall, I LOVE this new Thermos Insulated Commuter Tumbler! I love it’s sleek shape, it’s high-society design, it’s function and more importantly, it does indeed keep my coffee nice and hot for me! Yay!
