Eight O’ Clock Coffee New Limited Edition Chocolate Mint Coffee Review & Giveaway

My mother, daughter and husband are all big coffee drinkers, and during the holiday season, I love to stuff their holiday stockings full of gourmet holiday flavored coffees! For the past few years, we have been big consumers of the Eight O’ Clock Coffee brand and right now they have a brand new limited-edition coffee flavor called Chocolate Mint.

Here is some company and product information:

America’s original gourmet coffee has launched a limited edition, unlimited flavor just in time for the Holidays! The new Eight O’ Clock Chocolate Mint is a decadent blend of 100% Arabica coffee and cool, refreshing peppermint swirled with the temptation of smooth dark chocolate notes. Whether a perfect after-dinner treat or to help you start your day, this 100% Arabica blend is sure to satisfy. It will be available in select stores in the Southeast and Ohio area and online nationally at eightoclock.com for a SRP of $6.99 for 11oz bag.

In addition, Eight O’Clock Coffee brought their 150 years of expertise to Keurig® K-Cup® packs. To celebrate the launch, Eight O’ Clock Coffee has created 8 simple-yet-sinful “brew-it-yourself” coffee recipes that can be made with a traditional coffee maker or with a Keurig® brewer, turning coffee-for-one into coffee-for-fun! Use these recipes to set up an “at-home coffee bar” for your guests!

A great recipe to try for a decadent dessert coffee? Marshmallow Candy Bar! Start by putting one Tbsp. of mini marshmallows and one snack sized chocolate/caramel-type candy bar in the bottom of a mug. Then, pour your Eight O’Clock Coffee over the candies. If you’re using a Keurig® brewer, simply brew the coffee into the candy-filled mug. Stir until the candy melts, and you’re done! Test before adding extra milk or sugar – it’s so delicious you may not want to add anything else! Check out all of the great Eight O’Clock Coffee Recipes on Facebook.

The great folks over at Eight O’Clock sent me a bag of their new Chocolate Mint Ground Coffee to try out for all of you along with some of their new K-cups. I measured out the amount of Chocolate Mint Coffee that I needed to make a full pot of “joe” and got busy brewing. I decided to serve the coffee right alongside some freshly baked pumpkin pie.

I served the pie and coffee to 6 guests and within a few minutes, everyone was raving over this Chocolate Mint Coffee! (no one was raving about my pumpkin pie, geesh!). Some of my guests drank their coffee black, others added sugar and/or cream. Myself personally, I just added cream! The coffee has a nice smooth taste, nothing bitter about this medium roast coffee at all. You could taste the chocolate & mint flavors and they were beautifully blended together. Have you ever had a chocolate grasshopper mint pie? a chocolate peppermint candy? If so, this coffee tastes just like them and it is super…and I mean SUPER….delicious! Yummy!

Dear Eight O’Clock Coffee…I know this is a limited-edition…but pleaseeeee consider releasing it more than just once a year! Purrrrty Pleeeasse!
