I have been passionately collecting cookbooks for around 25 years now and every week, I seem to be adding a new cookbook to my collection. Well today, I want to introduce you to the cookbook called “150 Best Donut Recipes” by author George Geary and published by Robert Rose.
The ISBN: 978-0-7788-0411-6 with the suggested US Cover Price of $24.95.
Book Synopsis: Topped with a chocolate glaze or simply rolled in cinnamon, fresh homemade donuts are impossible to resist. You know your’re using quality ingredients when you make your own donuts, and the freshness certainly can’t be beat!
This collection of delicious recipes features a wide variety of choices. You’ll find recipes for raised donuts (made with yeast), cake-based donuts, baked donuts, holiday donuts and one-bite donuts, and dozens of recipes for toppings, glazes and fillings. Everything you need to know to make gourmet donuts at home can be found in these pages.
Some of the recipes included in the cookbook:
* Fresh Vanilla Bean Donuts
* Chocolate Cake Donuts

My Thoughts: This is a wonderful soft-cover cookbook containing 150 donut recipes, donut-making tips and some beautiful foodie photography. Not every recipe has a photo but the ones that are in the book make your mouth water for sure!
I decided to make the Mini Pumpkin Donuts since it’s the fall season and I was in the mood for something pumpkin flavored. This donut recipe was really easy to prepare and instead of frying/deep frying them, you bake them in a muffin tin in the oven. The total prep time was less than 15 minutes and baking time was about 12 minutes in length. Once they were done, the family dug in and chowed down. Oh my gosh, these mini pumpkin donuts were sooooo good! Matter of fact, I am going to make them again for my family come Thanksgiving morning. Yeah!
I love this cookbook because it offers such a nice variety of donut recipes, something for everyone and something for every baking skill level. I like that the ingredients are common ones that can be found in just about every basic grocery store.
