Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Their products are designed by seasoned educators and parents who know that children love to learn when you make that learning experience fun!
My Review: The great folks over at Educational Insights sent us their AlphaMagnets Letters & Numbers set to review for all of you. This set includes 126 multicolored magnetic pieces: (42) lowercase letters (42) uppercase letters (30) numbers and (12) math symbols.
The set is made for ages 3 and up, grades Pre-K. They are brightly colored in 6 different colors. Everything comes nicely packaged in a plastic storage box with lid. Great for storing it on a bookshelf or in a closet.
We used to own a set similar to this made by another company and were very displeased with them. They had no “magnetic” power and kept falling off the front of my refrigerator. Little G was very frustrated with that, so I was super excited to get this quality set made by Educational Insights.
I love educational toys like this one…a classic, simple and it provides hours upon hours of entertainment. As soon as it arrived, Little G had them up onto the front of my refrigerator and upright freezer. She knows her letters, colors and numbers so it is now time to teach her how to spell. We have been practicing spelling her name along with various 3 letter words. For fun, she tried to spell Educational Insights but as you can see from my photo, she had 2 letters wrong! LOL I give her props for trying though!
All of the letters & number in this set are correctly formed as they should be. Other sets that I have owned have used funky fonts and stuff. This set is fabulous! In addition, they have super-sticking power with strong magnets. They stay put on your refrigerator or magnetic art board and don’t fall off or slide down.
Little G loves this new set so we threw out the inferior quality set as soon as this one arrived. Every time she comes to my home, she runs out to my kitchen just so she can play with her new AlphaMagnets Letters & Numbers Set! Yeah! This set sells for $19.99 and is worth every dime! I know little G will get hundreds of hours of playing & learning time out of this set!
