Join Cynthia as she begins her own “Second Act” and find out who accidentally slips into bed with whom, who has a penchant for low-cut lederhosen, and who winds up naked on a beautiful beach in Malibu!

My Thoughts:
Sleeping with Dogs and Other Lovers is a very humorous book. It is a very light-hearted read and I was able to zip right through it. Sometimes that is not good, but in this instance, it was due to the fact I wanted to get to the next page. The main character, Cynthia, is a very frazzled woman that is starting a new online match making service, by herself. Just thinking about that makes me tired. On top of that her old lover shows up with offers she cannot deny and her mother is a tad, shall we say, crazy! Mom tries continually to set her up with the next most eligible bachelor and Cynthia tries to ignore her while juggling her own crazy life, clients, phones, dogs and so much more. The results are a funny and fresh look at today’s woman!

I had an easy time appreciating Cynthia’s story and her juggling act of men, dating, friends and life in general. The author let Cynthia have a great time and she thoroughly enjoys her life and it shows. I love the style in which this book is written and while there is lots of romance, it is a comical view that you will enjoy. It is a refreshing look at a woman not unlike you and me! Cynthia just gets to have more fun than I do. haha

This is a quick and easy read and great for a weekend where you just want to veg out! Swing by and check it out next time you are looking for some humor and romance.

I still prefer to read a book in paperback, so I am glad that this version now exists. I like to read romance books too. I zip thorugh most of my books and enjoy forgetting myself in different situations
