I love how user-friendly the Learning Resources site is!
You will find activity sets & books, construction sets, active learning & play sets, discovery & exploration sets, electronic toys, games, puzzles, water & sand toys and a whole lot more! Everything on their site is extremely well-made and affordable.
My Review: The great folks over at Learning Resources sent us their New Sprouts Munch It! My Very Own Play Food Set to review for all of you. This play food set is made for kids ages 2 – 6 years of age. Everything in the set is specially sized for little hands and the food items are very detailed and realistic looking.
The 20-piece set includes the following:
2 slices of bread, carrot, bowl with cereal, mini bagel, hot dog in bun, cookie, apple, banana, 2-piece muffin, berry cluster, 2 slices of cheese, bowl with macaroni and cheese, juice box, yogurt cup, orange and 2 spoons.
What I love about this play food set is that my grand-wee-one is familiar with all of those food items and loves them all. The set is made out of durable hard plastic so it will last for years. I appreciate that I can wipe down these items to clean them and to remove germs. In addition, they are perfectly sized to fit onto all of her play dishes and play pots & pans.
Grand-Wee-One used to have a play kitchen at my house but we since moved it down to her house since she loves to play “house” all of the time. However, we got this set out when she was up last weekend and she had a ball creating and serving all kinds of gourmet food to her pappy and I. (please note: also shown in some of these photos are pieces from the Learning Resources Serve It! Set that is also available from them).
After our play date with grand-wee-one she just had to take this set home, so that she has it available for when she is playing “house” at her house! We love this set and grand-wee-one loves it too!
