Today I would like to introduce you to the chocolate company called Lily’s Sweets who specializes in making gourmet chocolate bars that have been sweeted with Stevia. Their premium dark chocolate bars contain 25% fewer calories than other chocolate bars out in the marketplace.
Their chocolate is sweetened with Stevia, a zero calorie, natural sweetener that comes from the plant, Stevia Rebaudiana. It is prized for it’s many health benefits and Stevia has been used to sweeten foods and beverages for centuries.
The company sent us 4 of their chocolate bars to review for all of you and we received the following flavors: Original, Coconut, Crispy Rice and Almond. Each chocolate bar is approximately 2-servings.
The first bar hubby tried was the Lily’s Dark Chocolate Coconut Bar. He selected this one first because he has never tried a bar like this. After a few bites he told me that it was really good. Smooth and silky texture and that it just melts in your mouth. He really liked this one!
The second bar that hubby tried was the Lily’s Dark Chocolate Almond Bar. He has always loved chocolate bars with almonds so I knew this one would be a hit with him! Even though it’s a 2-serving bar, he demolished the entire bar in a 24 hour period. Geesh!
The third bar went to my daughter J who loves Crispy Rice types of chocolate bars and we knew she would select this one. She loved the chocolatey taste and said it was smooth and creamy with a little bit of crunch thanks to the crispy rice.
The final bar I saved for myself! I kept the original Dark Chocolate bar for me and when we fired up the grill a few nights ago I made myself 3 S’mores using it. It melted so nicely and really added some flavor to our S’mores. We usually use milk chocolate when making S’mores so it was nice to use dark chocolate for once. Yummy good!
We loved the 4 bars of Lily’s Sweets Chocolate Bars and would not hesitate in purchasing them for ourselves or buying them to give as gifts! Excellent chocolate for sure!
