I am so excited today because I get to talk to you about 2 delicious gourmet foodie products that I recently had the pleasure of reviewing. Today I am introducing all of you to Tortuga Rum Cakes and to Tortuga Chocolate Rum Turtles with Sea Salt and let me tell you…they are delicious!

My Review: The generous folks over at Tortuga sent me a 4 oz. Tortuga Caribbean Rum Cake and a box of their Tortuga Chocolate Rum Turtles with Sea Salt to review for all of you. Since I love to entertain…I invited a few friends over for dinner and these 2 review products were our after-dinner treats.
The Tortuga Rum Cakes come in various flavors and sizes…I received the Golden Original in the 4 oz. size which makes for a tasty treat! This particular flavor is their “most popular” flavor and is baked fresh daily in the Cayman Islands. It is made with fresh all-natural ingredients, including imported walnuts. The only preservative used in the rum cakes is their specially blended “5-year old” oak barrel aged Tortuga Rum. I opened up the box and sliced our little cake into 4 nice sized slices and served it with some coffee to my guests. In less than 1 minute the rum cake was devoured by everyone! ha! It was super moist, very flavorful and absolutely delicious!
The Tortuga Chocolate Rum Turtles with Sea Salt come packaged in a nice gift box and you get 12 premium chocolates in each box. These rum turtles are covered in rich milk chocolate and inside is the delicious rum caramel with pecans and a sprinkling of sea salt on top. I also served these to my guests and within about 15 minutes the entire box of 12 was gone! Matter of fact…my guests wanted to know if I had more of them! geesh! I was lucky to snag a turtle for myself and I would have to agree with my guests…totally delicious! They are sweet and chewy but not overly sweet and that caramel and milk chocolate is absolutely delicious! Oh my! We love these Tortuga Chocolate Rum Turtles with Sea Salt!!!!
