Today we are featuring a fabulous book review for all of you on a hardcover book called “Marriage Rules” by Harriet Lerner PhD. This book gives you simple answers to the most complicated marital problems. It’s a great manual for the married and for the “coupled” up. Book Synopsis: Relationships are complicated. When we share our lives with another person we tie our finances together, negotiate sexuality and deal with the countless decisions that daily life demands, not to mention our own personal baggage. When the anxiety of life spirals high enough, and lasts long enough, even the most mature relationship may begin to look like a dysfunctional one. Needless to say, coupling can get rough. However, the rules to a good marriage are not according to “Marriage Rules: A Manual for the Married and the Coupled up” by Gotham Books by New York Times bestselling author Harriet Lerner.

Book Review: The book is broken down into 10 easy-to-read chapters and each chapter is lined out nicely and in an order that makes sense to the reader. I like that each chapter has numbered “rules”  which I found very helpful. I loved how the author explains to you what the problem is (problems that many coupled & married couples face) and how you can go about solving them. Her tips and wisdom throughout the book are “spot on” and I really learned a lot by reading this book. My daughter is in a relationship and I feel this book would be the “perfect” book for her and her fiance to read together (since they have some relationship issues). This is truly a self-help manual style of book and I think that every couple could benefit from the knowledge that the author shares with all of us in this fabulous book.
