Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Kid Basix who makes and sells a line of children’s no-spill bottles and sipper cups made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel. The products are Bisphenol A. and Phthalates Free!
For our review we received the 2-in-1 Sippy or Straw Cup by Kid Basix for ages 6 months & up. This sippy cup is not microwave safe but is dishwasher safe for easy clean-up. The cup is to be used for cold beverages only and they are not recommended for carbonated beverages in these cups.
We found this cup to be the perfect sipper cup for our 19 month old niece who is not quite ready for a full-blown toddler cup. The cup has an 11 oz. capacity, easy-grip insulating sleeve, removable handles and a great travel plug to keep things from spilling out of the cup while traveling and on the go! Her mom was thrilled too! Her other cups were constantly spilling liquid.
The second item we received for review was the SafeSporter 12 oz. soft-pull spout cup in the cute pink, purple and stainless steel colors which the grand-wee-one really loves! This cup is dishwasher safe, refrigerator safe and is BPA & Phthalate Free. It is the perfect size for lunch boxes, lunch bags, diaper bags and travel bags.
This was our favorite product out of the 2 that we received. We loved the contoured shape of this cup and the 12 oz. capacity size is perfect for a 2 1/2 year old. The cup was super easy to clean and we cleaned it using our dishwasher. We appreciated the covered cap at the top of the cup which kept her drinking nozzle super clean.
We really like and appreciate the stainless steel cups and knowing that we are keeping plastic out of our kids systems. It is nice to know that there is a choice out there and it is a great product.
Overall Impression: We really enjoyed reviewing both of these products for all of you and we highly recommend them to you. They are super functional, cute to look at and they are extremely affordable. Best of all they will last and can be used over an over by other children. These are not going to be a throwaway cup.
