I have a thing for specialty kitchen goods especially when they are unique and beautiful. It is not often that I get to treat myself with artful pieces. Quality speaks loudly for me and I love surrounding myself with lovely items that tell a story.

I am so excited to be able to bring to you some of the most beautiful pewter handcrafted kitchen items that I have ever seen. I have spied them while watching cooking shows, but in person, they are so amazing!

Made by hand by Crosby & Taylor, formerly The Tin Woodsman, for the past 25 years in a studio in Oregon, the products that they produce are one of a kind. Beautiful pewter measuring spoons and cups, ceramic canisters like salt pots and garlic pots and fabulous pewter gifts items such as jewelry. Their Christmas ornaments are out of this world! Their 2011 dated Collectible Snowflake ornament is ready to ship now and is amazing! Actually, any of their items would make an amazing gift that would be treasured for a lifetime!

The selection of wonderful handcrafted pieces at Crosby & Taylor is phenomenal. Each piece is lovingly handcrafted and you can tell the care and detail that has gone into these items. I was very excited and thrilled to receive the Angel Measuring Spoons with Stand as my review item. They came to me wrapped like a package along with a pewter decorative piece tied into the ribbon. So sweet! Just like getting a present in the mail! I like thoughtful touches like that.

The Spoons carry a message of Peace, Love, Hope and Joy so you can be reminded of this year round! The angel stand is curved to hold the measuring spoons just perfectly. The backs of the spoons have a beautiful raised pattern that is incorporated into the front of the spoon too. This is gorgeous!

I immediately cleared off my kitchen counter and found the perfect home for this Angel to watch and guard over our home and remind me daily that cooking is a way of showing your love. When you put your heart into something it comes back to you in many ways. I love my Angel and she will be with me for a long time.

What is super cool to know is that Paula Dean has chosen Crosby & Taylor’s Angel Measuring Spoons for the Paula’s Picks section of Her Nov/Dec 2011 issue of Paula Deen’s Best Dished magazine. How cool is that! I think you will love her too! You have to put Crosby & Taylor on your Christmas list!
