Basa Body All Natural Coconut Oil Body Lotion

October 23, 2011 by Classystaff

Basa Body LotionMy body craves lotions and creams and at the rate I go through them, I can never seem to get enough. I love trying all of the different formulas and experiencing the amazing quality of product that is created by fabulous folks that look at nature and not chemicals.

With that said, I have a terrific company to tell you about to day as well as their lovely products. The company is called Basa Body and the product line is beautiful organic creams and lotions all made with Virgin Organic Coconut Oil that is easily absorbed into the skin and has natural antioxidants that are antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antifungal. Basa Body products help promote healing and give skin a healthier, youthful appearance. They contain:
NO PARABENS
NO ARTIFICIAL FRAGRANCES
NO ARTIFICIAL PRESERVATIVES
NO HARSH IRRITATING CHEMICALS

But, their high quality and superior body lotion is only part of the story. Read on for the history of how Basa Body started

The Basa Body story began years ago with a single trip to Kenya. We connected with wonderful, intelligent women working hard to feed their families. Their small-scale enterprise was called Coast Coconut Farms, where they produced virgin, organic coconut oil by hand.

Intrigued by their commitment, skill, and entrepreneurial spirit, we were determined to help these women tell their story and grow their business. The result is Basa Body, named after the women of Mombasa, Kenya, where Basa’s coconut oil is produced.

Our story doesn’t end their either. Basa Body growing in the United States and we are creating jobs here as well. It really is the team and idea that build a great product.

I applaud companies such as this that take an idea and create a business that supports and continues to give back to society by donating back 10% of their profit to humanitarian work.

They are still in the pre launch portion of the business and will be opening for business in November.

But back to the reason we are here… the awesome products. Like I said I have tried loads of different lotions and creams on my body over the years. I have had extremely dry feet for many years as a lasting effect from a combination of psoriasis and eczema and my legs, arms and hands can get pretty dry too. I have tried many products on my feet and some work pretty well for a bit and others absorb in but don’t correct the issue. The next morning, they are back to dry and cracking.

I was sent 2 products to sample for you. One is the Basa Body Lotion and the other is the Basa Body Stick. First let’s chat about the lotion. This lotion comes in a nice stand up tube and when I first opened it I got my favorite scent… coconut. Delicious! I squeezed out a bit on my finger and it is a lovely consistency, nice and thick. The scent is at a good level, not too much. I applied it generously to my arms and neck and it feels awesome! My skin drank it in and the lotion left them smooth and supple feeling. There is a touch of oily residue left on my hands because it is made with coconut oil, but it soon absorbed and left my hands feeling soft and amazing. This is a fabulous product!

The Basa Body Stick has become my new best friend and let me tell you why. I applied this to my feet that are normally nasty with white cracking skin around them. (It doesn’t help that I either wear flipflops or I am barefoot at all times, I know….). The twist stick contains a 100% coconut oil and beeswax… that’s it! Pretty awesome. So the consistency is a bit oily but my goodness, once applied, my skin looked normal; whatever that is… The dry, white part around my soles is now pink. Holy smokes! I haven’t seen that in long time.

Because this is a solid state coconut oil for all intents and purposes, you may want to refrigerate it if it gets over 75 or so at your home.

Now the test is to see how long it lasts. For that, I will get back to you…..
I have used the Basa Body Stick several times on my feet and while the dry skin does come back each morning, it is getting softer and lessening each day. I like that when I do apply it, my feet look “normal” all day. LOL I am very pleased with that as this is the only product I have used that has lasted more than a few hours.

**You do have to be careful as this is an oil based product so it can get slippery if put on the bottoms of your feet. Only do that at night or while wearing socks**

I love this product, ladies. You know it seems the more pure and simple a product is, the better it works. Back to basics, I guess. Shelly gives thumbs up, but I am giving 10 toes up for these beautiful items.
