I’m very excited to review the BARBAR 2300 Titanium-Ionic Flat Iron 1-1/2″ for you today. I have what I’ve always called “stick straight” hair. Why would I need a flat iron? Honestly, that’s what I thought before my daughter straightened my hair. Naturally it’s not as straight as I thought and the ends can be a mess if I’m wearing it down. What a difference!
The BARBAR 2300 Titanium-Ionic Flat Iron 1-1/2” is amazing. It’s stylish as you can see from the picture above. Shiny black and red accent. The digital display is very easy to read. There are three buttons to use and quite self explanatory. On/Off and + or – for the temperature.
Speaking of temperature, it goes up to a whopping 450 degrees. Which is perfect for straightening wet hair. There is no need to cause further damage to your hair by blow drying first. Just use the flat iron on your wet hair and skip a step.
They aren’t kidding that it heats up in 40 seconds. You can literally watch the display temperature climb and it was definitely under 40 seconds. Even though it can get to such a hot temperature, it was cool enough after 20 minutes to pack up. Which can be really important for that teen of mine. I really like how quickly it heats up though. No waiting around and finding other things to do while it heats. It’s not even enough time to brush your teeth before it’s ready to use.

My before picture is quite the mess isn’t it? I let my hair air dry after the shower today and it was gorgeous so we had the window down while doing errands. Of course, that means it ended up in a ponytail. You can see the ponytail mark along with the fluffy ends. What a mess huh?
The after picture my hair looks so shiny and healthy. I didn’t use any product on my hair, that’s just au natural. With heating AND straightening time it took under 5 minutes to get my hair to look like that. I also only had the flat iron on 200 degrees. The line from my ponytail was completely gone. Talk about taking my hair from day to night. So much quicker than having to jump in the shower and start over.
I’ve used other flat irons and watched my daughter use one quite often. It takes her a really long time to get her hair straightened as I don’t think it gets hot enough. I’m looking forward to seeing how much time this professional model can take off her morning routine. It takes over 30 minutes for her to straighten her hair with her cheap flat iron. I’m sure this is going to cut her time in half, leaving more time for sleeping like a teenager needs.
